Your symbolic ceremony in Switzerland

Congratulations on your engagement – and your plans to get married in beautiful Switzerland! My name is Simone and I am a Swiss wedding celebrant. And I can’t wait to hear your lovestory

Getting married in Switzerland
If you want to tie the knot in Switzerland, you have several options. Most couples first head to the registry office for their official civil wedding, which takes about 15-30 minutes and often is quite restricted when it comes to special requests or the number of guests you can bring along. Nonetheless a civil wedding is a must if you want to get married in a church and has to be done beforehand. And then there is my specialty: the symbolic ceremony.

What’s a symbolic ceremony?
In my symbolic ceremonies put you as a couple and your love for each other in the limelight. I talk about love, your love and especially your lovestory: how you met, fell in love, how you lived and loved together, how you decided to get married and what your plans for your future are. In most ceremonies I include an individual unity ritual and of course there can (don’t have to be) your personal vows, I do’s, a ring exchange and a kiss. I try to walk the thin line between romance and emotion and – of course – laughter and humor. This creates a warm, relaxed but heartfelt and unforgettable atmosphere for you and your guests.

Ceremony planning made easy
I’ve done a couple symbolic ceremonies in Switzerland with couples from abroad. Thanks to social media, mail and phonecalls it is no problem to plan your dream wedding even when you are sitting on the other side of the globe. It doesn’t matter where in Switzerland you want to get married: I’ll come along. It doesn’t matter if you are getting married on a weekday or a weekend, if you are planning an elopement or if you bring 120 guests, plan on tie the knot on a mountaintop or on a lake, in a five star resort or in a barn – I’d love to be a part of it. And I’ll even bring my network of seasoned wedding vendors, my cordless soundsystem and a color coordinated outfit – because I’ll go the extra mile to make your day one of the best days of your life. My symbolic ceremonies usually cost CHF 2200 including all taxes and expenses, but don’t hesitate to contact me for a bespoke offer.

About me

My name is Simone, I am born in the early Eighties, I live near Zurich, I am happily married and have a little boy.

After pursuing a corporate job in marketing and communications, I decided to do more of what makes me happy and quit to be a professional wedding celebrant and officiant. I am a scubadiver, traveller, catlover, foodie and love interior design, books, tv series and lazy sundays (well, I guess I had the last lazy sunday before my son was born in 2015, but a girl can dream). If you think we could be a match, please drop me a line, I’d love to get to know you and talk about your wedding!

We were lucky enough to be Simone's first ceremony in English. She did an amazing job and the ceremony was incredibly personal and tailored to our love for one another. We live in Australia and Simone regularly took time to Skype us, created a whatsapp group chat to get to know us and our story. Thank you so much Simone for an amazing ceremony that we'll never forget and your support throughout. By far the best celebrant we've ever experienced (even if we are a little biased).
